One Heart Equestrian Therapy, Inc. is an award-winning non-profit organization that offers therapeutic services to people with disabilities using horses. Equine-assisted activities and therapies are effective treatment modalities for people with physical disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, mental health issues (e.g., post-traumatic stress disorder in veterans) and at-risk youth. Founded in 2001, One Heart serves clients and their families from Story County and 8 surrounding counties. One Heart also enjoys a large, loyal, and enthusiastic volunteer base, vital for the success of any non-profit organization. In addition, One Heart encourages collaborations with youth groups (e.g., Boy Scouts, 4-H), community organizations, and high school and college students to gain hands-on experience in potential equine and therapeutic fields of career interest.

One Heart Equestrian Therapy operates solely from donations. Donations are used to directly supplement every participant in our comprehensive, equine-assisted curriculums.  Donations are also directed to the care and well-being of our partners – the horses of One Heart. Every cent donated to One Heart fills a need within the organization and your support and contribution will have direct impact our organization!
